Prata Wala was established with the aim of creating a restaurant dedicated to Singapore’s beloved comfort food, Roti Prata. The word “Wala,” meaning a person engaged in an activity, was added to the name. Therefore, Prata Wala translates to “someone making Prata.”
Prata Wala is a quick-service, halal certified Indian restaurant which provides delicious, value-for-money Indian cuisine in a modern setting. The menu offers Indian favourites from North and South Indian cuisine.
Prata Wala has garnered a number of industrial awards. In 2018, Prata Wala clinched the Epicurean Star Awards – Best Asian Restaurant (Chain Restaurant) by Restaurant Association of Singapore. Its Jurong Point outlet was awarded the Customer Service Excellence Award by Franchising and Licensing Association (Singapore). Prata Wala is also a partner with Health Promotion Board for using healthier oil, low sodium salt and having wholegrain and lower in calories options in the menu.
